About Bulo Parents’ School

The school was founded by the parents of Bulo community in 1991 with the purpose of strengthening and developing quality education the school is located in Bulo town council, 15 km from mitala Maria in Butambala District.

Growth & Modern Evolution

Academic Expansion: Starting strictly with Ordinary Level (O-Level) education under the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), the institution gradually expanded its academic offerings to include Advanced Level (A-Level) studies.

Infrastructure & Vocational Integration: Over time, the school upgraded from basic classrooms to modern facilities, adding dedicated science laboratories and an ICT lab. In response to national curriculum changes, it incorporated practical vocational skilling (under the Digital Innovation and Technology/DIT assessment framework), offering hands-on trade disciplines alongside standard academia.

Regional Sports Powerhouse: Beyond academics, Bulo Parents SS steadily built a reputation as a sporting hub in the region, establishing a presence in USSSA (Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association) and UMEA (Uganda Muslim Education Association) regional tournaments.

Leadership

The first head teacher was Hajj Mwanje Muhammad in 1991 followed by Hajji Mpungu Musoke who took over in 1997 then was replaced with Hajji Kinene Muhammad in 2007 and then the current Head teacher Hajji Mukasa Ibrahim in 2010. See Leadership
